根據中國氣象局整編的1949~2003年臺風年鑒資料,對南海熱帶氣旋的源地、消亡地、強度、移向移速、活躍地等緯向分布的特征進行分析,旨在為南海熱帶氣旋各緯度帶的活動特征,為南海熱帶氣旋的預報業務工作提供參考依據,并為研究工作奠定基礎。
