The comparative cytomorphology on the development of female and male gametophyte was studied between white cucumber-BY whose seeds are most abortive and green cucumber-QP whose seeds are most well-developed.
對種子敗育的白皮黃瓜品種白玉(BY)和種子發育良好的青皮黃瓜品種青皮(QP)的雌雄配子發育階段進行了組織形態學比較研究,結果發現,BY部分小孢子四分體之間相互粘連在一起,相互粘連的胼胝質壁水解形成復合小孢子四分體;在單核小孢子時期,有些小孢子壁皺縮,膜內陷,不規則;觀察BY成熟胚囊發現,在胚囊中央有多個類極核,珠心組織細胞離散、變形,大孢子囊邊緣不規則;BY在球形胚初期,胚乳發育異常,細胞提前液泡化,具玻璃質感,染色不明顯,在顯微鏡下透光率強,并且胚乳細胞內含物提前降解,胚乳胞間質降解,隨后胚乳細胞降解,只留下殘跡,球形胚停止發育。
