A conclusion is given that response range of DOP ellipsoid shortest axes to PMD can be greatly increased by using the proper bandwidth filter and selecting proper pulse width laser in RZ code optical fiber communication system.

提出了使用適當帶寬的光帶通濾波器和選擇合適的脈沖寬度兩種方法來增加RZ碼光纖通信系統中偏振度橢球對偏振模色散的響應范圍,模擬計算得到了40Gb/s的RZ碼在不同脈沖寬度以及同一脈沖寬度下不同的濾波器帶寬兩種情況下偏振度橢球的短軸隨偏振模色散的變化情況 結果表明,采用這二種方法可以明顯地提高偏振度橢球的短軸對偏振模色散的響應范圍 另外,數值模擬結果還表明對于40Gb/s的系統濾波器帶寬應大于50Hz,光源脈寬應在4ps~10ps較為合適 通過實驗證明了這二種方案是可行的。
